Constable Alan R Jeskey is appointed in Southbridge, Webster and West Brookfield. He can serve most papers in nearby communities as a process server or by use of a Constables Network that span most of Massachusetts.
Constables only have "Full Authority" in their elected or appointed communities. Outside of their communities, they may serve most papers as a process server and/or under a Rule 4c motion that had been approved by the court. A Rule 4c motion is a motion requesting an individual to be appointed as a "Special Process Server". In many cases this does not transfer "Constable Authority" to the individual, it just allows the individual to go into that community and serve the paper as a process server.
In Probate Family Court, a process server can serve most documents without a Rule 4c motion. However, some Probate Capias (civil arrest warrant) can only be acted upon by the local Constable or Sheriff. Child Support Capias are actually handled differently. You should contact the Constable if you have one of these.
If you would like us to handle a Housing matter outside of the appointed communities above and need a Rule 4c Motion, please click on FORMS above.
